This past weekend marked the 3rd annual Texas Firearms Festival held at the Best of the West Shooting Range in Liberty, TX just north of Austin. It is a three-day event for firearms enthusiasts to try and buy some of the latest guns, ammo, accessories and gear.

The event featured more than 20 dedicated gun bays filled with dozens of exhibitors, each of whom had several of their products on display for the attendees to choose from. We’re talking just about every type of firearm you can thing of, most of which were suppressed and/or had some pretty cool tricked out features.

The “Retail Village” was a showcase for a variety of vendors with stuff available for purchase. There were also a number of food trucks with something tasty on the menu.

STI had a nice selection of their custom pistols available to shoot.

Tickets were available for purchase online before the event and available for pickup at the gate. Options included one or two day (Sat/Sun) passes for both shooter and non-shooter. VIP ticket holders enjoyed perks such as skipping through lines and exclusive “Full Auto Friday” access to a wide variety of machine guns and pistols.

One of the first stops made was over at the Silencer Shop booth to shoot a suppressed Brethren Armament MP5…

and BA300. Both were money. This was not a bad way to start the day let me tell you.

The Sons of Liberty Gun Works “Swamp Fox” had a sick coat of paint and weighed under six lbs. Loaded with features from Surefire, SLR, Geissele, MFT and more. It was a beautiful blend of form and function.
