Press Release: NRL Announces Open Registration – Idaho Shamrock Shootout

January 12, 2017 – Santa Ana, CA – The National Rifle League (NRL), a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and education of precision rifle shooting through a range of outdoors-related public interest activities, announced today that registration is now open for the first national match of the 2017 season. The Precision Rifle Shooters of Idaho are proud to host the Idaho Shamrock Shootout sponsored by MGM Targets.

The 2-day match will take place between March 18th-19th, 2017 at the Snake River Sportsman Range in Vale, OR with check-ins on March 17th. The cost will be $275 per person. Awards and prizes will take place in the conference room of the Clarion Hotel on Sunday night.

Nate Lauerman and Jack Wilson will be the co-directors for the match. Both representatives are from the Precision Rifle Shooters of Idaho (PRSID) rifle club and have experience in competing, match directing, and range officiating in the past. Jack Wilson stated that competitors should expect a match geared towards an improved shooter experience.

“PRSID is excited to welcome the National Rifle League organization to our upcoming match in Vale, OR. We feel it is important to support the vision that the NRL has for the future the precision rifle shooting sports, and provide the opportunity for all involved to get together, network, and learn from each other,” said Jack Wilson, Co-Match Director.

“The more we can come together to share ideas and strategies in an environment of mutual support, the greater our overall impact will be for the precision rifle competitive shooting sports. We are extremely grateful to Jack, Nate, and the entire group from PRSID for creating this opportunity. The only way we truly advance is by working together and we need support of experienced match directors as these guys”, said Travis Ishida, President at National Rifle League.
