Press Release: NRL Announces 2017 JC Steel Target Challenge

February 1, 2017 – Santa Ana, CA – The National Rifle League, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and education of precision rifle shooting through a range of outdoors-related public interest activities, announced that the third match of the 2017 season will be the JC Steel Target Challenge sponsored by JC Steel Targets, Inc.

The 2-day precision rifle match is a national level match taking place between May 13th-14th at Blue Ridge Ranch located in Benge, WA. The match will be an up-tempo match with lots of shooting, and will be both physically and mentally demanding. Premium AR500 targets will be the target of choice. Most stages will have some sort of stress involved, either timed or varying target sizes. There will be many different barricades and natural terrain to navigate through while shooting the match as well. Blue Ridge Ranch is the premier source for hunting in the beautiful Palouse region of southeastern Washington. This event will have full media coverage by creative firm Contingency X, and has sponsorship opportunities for businesses.

Jake Vibbert and Nick Gadarzi will be the co-match directors for the 2017 JC Steel Target Challenge. Vibbert, President of JC Steel Targets and has seven years of experience of match directing, range officiating, and competing at matches. With a match entry fee of $285 per person, competitors can expect unique courses of fire shooting out to 1,400 yards, food and refreshments, a Shooter’s Bag, match t-shirt, banquet dinner, and award ceremony. To assist competitors in preparing for this match, or anyone looking to improve their skills as a competition shooter, a preparation clinic or training course is being offered on May 11, 2017.

Registration for this match opens on February 1st, 2017 at 6PM PST.
