When we first test fired the gun, the fireball and noise it created were so incredible it made the gun unpleasant to shoot. The blast completely overwhelmed the normally excellent PWS Triad muzzle device that came with the upper. Naturally, we would have gone with a PWS CQB comp but we just so happened to have a Noveske KX5 lying around. We installed it in hopes to mitigate some of that unwanted muzzle blast. The KX5 is a chambered muzzle device that contains the fireball and deflects the noise forward. This made a huge difference and proved to be effective as the blast and noise was greatly reduced. The disadvantages of the KX5 are that it is bulky, long and heavy and if you are not careful, it can trap dirty bore cleaner when maintaining the barrel. It must also be periodically disassembled and cleaned out. The KX5 is nitrided to help it resist corrosion and erosion from blast. We used Magpul Pro sights because of it’s all metal construction, sleek low profile and super easy adjustability. We really hate the “push the detent in with a tool and try to rotate the front sight post adjustment method” of a GI style front sight. The Magpul Pro adjusts elevation by turning a knob with firm click detents.
