Other components were used to finalized this rifle build that were not from Toni System. These components included a barrel, gas block, buffer and spring, lower parts kit, grip, and compensator. The barrel is a Bear Creek Arsenal 18-inch stainless steel chambered in .223 Wylde with external spiral fluting and an internal 1:8 twist. Wrapping the barrel is a Geissele Super Gas Block. To support the cycling of the round, sitting in the buffer tube is a mil-spec buffer and spring thus allowing for smooth operation of the rifle. To further support this smooth operation, we dropped in a polished WMD NiB-X coating bolt carrier group. The nickel boron coating (NiB-X) is harder than tennifer, melonite, nickel teflon and hard chrome. In addition, it provides better environmental corrosion protection as it holds a lubricious finish which is easier to clean, and in the long run, it requires less maintenance as it offers longer usage between cleaning cycles. Sitting pretty at the end of the barrel is a wicked cool Venom Defense compensator in copper, yes, copper! Venom Defense manufactures amazing products that go under extensive engineering and field testing. Not only does this compensator look amazing but it does a fine job in redirecting and dispersing muzzle gases in effective ways that significantly reduce muzzle rise and felt recoil. Now, to tie the copper compensator in with another component of the rifle, we seamlessly installed Venom Defense’s skeletonized copper pistol grip. The copper in both of these products just stand out beautifully. Lastly, we went with a standard milspec Del-Ton lower parts kit, but we added a special twist; we sent out the LPK and gas block to our guys at K&M Blasting for Copper coating which came out super sleek.
