The bolt knob is another place I felt could use an upgrade. Once you mount a large scope and try some long distance shots with quick follow ups you will realize the need for a bigger bolt knob. I wish Remington would at least offer some of their models with larger tactical style knobs or even provide a threaded shank from the factory to accept something like the Badger Ordnance Oversized & Extended Bolt Knob, pictured above. For installation of the Badger Ordnance, the factory bolt knob must be machined down and threaded to 5/16”-24. I typically only Loctite my bolt knobs but many people choose to use an epoxy.
