The PWS MK107 Law Pistol

Most short barrel 5.56 pistols have terrible muzzle blast, flash and noise, but the Noveske KX-5 did a pretty good job of making it all bearable. The pistol is still more uncomfortable to shoot than a 16″ barrel carbine. In an indoor range the pistol can be uncomfortable to shoot even with earmuffs and it will piss off shooters in the stalls next to you. We will be testing other muzzle device on this pistol to see if this can tame it down some more. What impressed us a lot was that the long stroke piston kept the gun really clean. The ringless gas piston and gas chamber seemed to blow itself clean while firing and only got slightly dirty. Since no gas is going into the upper receiver, it would stay pristinely clean and lubricated with very little residue on it and the bolt. We have no doubt that this gun can go a long time without cleaning. Our pistol weighed in at a somewhat heavy 7.1 lbs with an optic. Remember though that there is about a pound of weight in the LAW tactical folder device and a third of a pound in a Noveske KX5; when you consider this, the weight doesn’t seem bad. With the weight centralized the pistol is very handy and fast to maneuver, making it excellent in close quarters or hunting medium size game in dense brush. With its compactness, it also makes a great urban emergency “bug out” gun. With some work and tuning, we have been successful in making a reliable and accurate AR super short barrel pistol. It is super fun and blast to shoot. We hope that you might find this information useful.
