The Spike’s Tactical billet 9mm upper receiver, at the time, was considered a “Unicorn” and had somewhat of a cult following. It was a “dedicated” upper because of its easily identified machined brass deflector that covered half the ejection port and didn’t have a hole for the gas tube. The only knock on this upper, I believe, was that it was made from 6061 but the pressures from the 9mm would not be high enough to cause for concern. I was surprised to come across one on www.9mmar.com/ and jumped at the opportunity. I’m pretty sure this was from the last batch. They are no longer available.
