The fire control group consisted of an ALG Defense Advanced Combat Trigger (ACT) with JP Rifles 3.5 lb springs kept in place by KNS Precision ST Pins. The ALG/ JP combo is an inexpensive alternative to the mil-spec trigger that comes in a standard lower parts kit. Originally, I had a CMC 3.5 lb Flat Trigger but the light hammer was riding back with the heavy 9mm bolt causing “bolt bounce.” The issue was resolved once the triggers were swapped. I’ve had trigger pins back out on me before and never again once I started using KNS pins. I chose the ST model over their others for aesthetic reasons. Being a “South Paw,” I appreciate the Battle Arms “BAD-ASS” Safety Selector because of its many different possible combinations and use them on all my builds. The BCM Gunfighter Grip Mod 3 completed the lower with its reduced angle, high rise backstrap and trigger guard insert.
