Once the chamber end of the barrel is finished we flip it around and again indicate off the bore until we have close to zero run out. Then –

  • Muzzle is turned down
  • Muzzle is threaded 5/8”x24 tpi (fit to thread gauge) or to customer specified thread pitch.
  • Muzzle crown is cut

Once the lathe work is finished, the barreled action and other components are prepared and Cerakote. We are now toward the end of the process and the next step is checking final fitment and applying specified torque to all fasteners. Please understand this is a very brief summary of our build process and I’ve left out a lot important details to keep from boring people, but I hope this gives readers a overall idea of the process.
