An Ed Brown Extended Ejector is used to help give a robust ejection. The ejector has a longer nose that hits the case sooner and sends it flying out the ejection port. This helps reduce stovepipes. The Ed Brown part is thicker, double instead of single staked and made of better material than stock. The ejector bending or flying out was a known problem that old 1911’s suffered from. The breech face is polished and the firing pin hole is deburred to help feeding.
