The barrel is throated and polished and the bullet ramp in the frame is contoured and polished. These mods are very common to older 1911’s to help them feed better, in particular hollow points. Later 1911’s have this contour machined in by the factory stock. This is one of the first mods I did to the gun after the sights and barrel bushing.
