Once every year in that desert oasis known as Las Vegas, there is a convention center that is temporarily transformed into tactical mecca. Over 60,000 industry professionals make their annual pilgrimage together to take a gander at what over 1600 exhibitors have to offer for the new year. Spread across roughly 13 acres and countless miles of aisles, the annual Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show is owned and sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation and has been around since 1979 making this the 38th annual SHOT Show. This is the undisputed champion of the world when it comes to being the largest firearm industry trade show on the planet and we decided to wear out a pair of shoes to bring you some choice coverage of the show.

Being behind enemy lines here in the People’s Republic of California, we are under constant threat of a new black rifle ban/confiscatory program so the popularity of 80% builds is enormous. The first thing we came across that really caught our attention was this lovely Billet Rifle Systems BRS47. These guys have done something that we have been wanting for a while and that is build a lower receiver for the AR-15 pattern rifle that can accept standard AK magazines. What is even better is that they have made it available in the form of an billet 80% lower receiver. Keep an eye on this space because we foresee a possible build in the coming future.

Strike Industries continues to release plenty of new and innovative products. Check out their FDE Viper Stock. This is sure to make its way on a future build here at TiQ and we can’t wait to try it out.

Holosun had some new products on hand and this little gem definitely got our attention. We have had good results with our testing on the Holosun red dots and we are hoping that this new laser offering from them might be another home run from these folks. The Holosun IR/Green Laser is currently available at retailers. Be on the lookout for a full review from us in the near future.
