One of the most versatile field dressings made is the Israeli Bandage. This bandage can function as a large 6×6 gauze bandage, an elastic pressure dressing to help stop severe bleeding and even a tourniquet when the internal pressure bar is cranked down. There is enough elasticity on the bandage for it to wrap any part of the body, including the abdomen and the head. It does require some simple training to use properly. The bandage comes vacuum packed for maximum compactness.
