Another issue I had was with the Ace Socom’s extended castle nut. This is a proprietary part that covered up half the hole of the QD End Plate which I typically like to use forcing me to run theirs. Another design flaw is that it doesn’t allow you to stake the castle nut. This became a problem during shooting drills in a carbine class when the stock got completely loose rendering the carbine inoperable. Luckily I wasn’t hurt nor was the gun damaged. I was able to tighten it back up and complete the class.
